Xolo has released the beta version of KitKat update for the Q1200, Q900S and A500 Club smartphones in India. These smartphones released with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and now they are updated to Android 4.4 KitKat.
The Android 4.4 kitKat update brings new features like restyled status and navigation bars, color emoji, printing support, a new camera UI, immersive mode, lock screen art, easy home screen switching, new email app, new phone dialer with ability to look up contacts directly from the dial pad, under the hood improvements and more. For the Xolo phones, the update adds New burst shot feature, Panorama + multi view and live photo mode.
The update is available directly from company’s official website and instructions to install the updates are available from the separate redmine site. All you need to do, download the file from the site and load it on the smartphone manually. Once the beta testing is complete, the final version would be available over-the-air (OTA) for the users.
