Xolo Chromebook and Nexian Air Chromebook With 4200mAh Battery Launched In India for Rs. 12,999

At an event in New Delhi, Google has launched the Xolo Chromebook & Nexian Air Chromebook in India at a price tag of Rs. 12,999. The Xolo Chromebook will be available from Snapdeal at a starting price of Rs. 12,999 and the Nexian Air Chromebook will be available from Amazon.in for Rs. 12,999. In an event, Google also said that, it will launch Asus Chromebook Flip, Asus Chromebook C201 and Samsung Chromebooks in India in coming months. The Nexian Air Chromebook has rugged splash-proof design.

Commenting on the launch, Smita Hashim, Global Product Manager, Chrome OS said:

When we introduced Chromebooks four years ago, we wanted to build a laptop for the way people use computers today ­ always fast, easy to use, and secure by default. Since launching Chromebooks in India, we’ve been working to ensure that Chromebooks work in an environment where connectivity can be spotty, and many people’s first experiences with technology are through a phone rather than a laptop.

On the specifications front, both Chromebooks feature 11.6-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and it is powered by 1.8GHz Rockchip 3288 Quad-Core processor which is based on ARM Cortex-A17 CPU and paired with ARM Mali-T764 GUP & 2GB of DDR3 RAM. It runs on Chromium OS and has 16GB in-built memory which can be expanded further by using expansion slot.
