Xiaomi has announced the company’s latest smartphone in the Redmi series – Xiaomi Redmi 4 in China at a starting price tag of 699 Yuan. It comes in Silver, Grey & Gold colours and it will go on sale in China starting from November 11th, 2016. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 comes in two variant – Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with 2GB RAM, 16GB in-built memory costa 699 Yuan while the orher variant with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 3GB RAM, 32GB in-built memory cost 899 Yuan.
On the specifications front, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 comes in two variant – Standard & High-end variant. The standard variant features 5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and it is protected by 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass. The smartphone is powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor which is paired with Adreno 505 GPU & 2GB of RAM. The standard variant comes with 16GB in-built memory which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card. The High-end variant features 5-inch Full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and it is protected by 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass. It is powered by 2.0GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 14nm processor which is paired with Adreno 506 GPU & 3GB of RAM. The high-end variant comes with 32GB in-built memory which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card.
Both the variant of smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with MIUI 8 on top of it.
Both the variant of smartphone features 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, 1080p video recording and 5MP front-facing camera, f/2.2 aperture for selfie & video-calling.
Both the variant of smartphone has Hybrid Dual SIM card slot and connectivity features like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS.
Both the smartphone packs 4100mAh battery.
