Xiaomi has announced the company’s first phablet – Mi Max in India at a starting price tag of Rs. 14,999. It comes in Gold, Silver and Light Grey colour and has full metal unibody design. It will be available for order starting from today and will go on sale starting. It comes in 2 variants – 3GB RAM with 32GB in-built and Snapdragon 650 SoC variant costs Rs. 14,999 while 4GB RAM with 128GB storage and Snapdragon 652 SoC variant cost Rs. 19,999. It will go on slae through mi.com starting July 6th and registrations for the sale will begin today. It will be also available through Amazon.in, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Tata CLiQ and Paytm from July 13th.
On the specifications front, it features 6.44-inch Full HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 1000:1 contrast ratio, 72% NTSC color gamut. It is powered by Hexa-Core Snapdragon 650 or Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 SoCs which is paired with Adreno 510 GPU and it runs on MIUI 7.5 based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with One-handed mode and shortcut dock to launch apps easily. It comes in three variants 3GB RAM with 32GB in-built memory, 3GB RAM with 64GB storage memory and 4GB RAM with 128GB storage memory.
On the imaging front, it features 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
It also has a fingerprint sensor on the back. It is 7.5mm thick and weighs 203 grams.
It has hybrid SIM slot that lets you use the second slot as a microSD expansion slot when required. It comes with other connectivity features like 4G LTE with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4 / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS.
It also packs a huge 4850mAh battery.
