Vivo has launched the company’s latest smartphone – Vivo X5 Pro in India at a price tag of Rs. 27,980. Originally it is launched in China and in India, it is available from August 15th, 2015. The highlight os the smartphone is that, it features eye scanner technology and it is said to be employed for unlocking the device & can also be used to lock important information stored on the handset. To be fair, the model launched in India does not come with this feature.

On the specifications front, it features 5.2-inch AMOLED full-HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by 64-bit Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor (four ARM Cortex A-53 at 1.53GHz + four Cortex-A53 at 1.0GHz) is coupled with 2GB of RAM & Adreno 405 GPU. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Funtouch 3.0 OS on top of it and has 16GB in-built memory which can be expanded further by using microSD card (up to 128GB).
On the imaging front, it features 13-megapixel rear-camera with autofocus & LED flash. It features 8-megapixel front-facing which can interpolate multiple images to bump the resolution up to 32-megapixel.
It is a slim smartphone with a thickness of 6.44mm. It also comes with DAC AK4375 chip for hi-fidelity audio.
It has hybrid dual SIM card slot, out of which one sim card can be used as a microSD card slot. It has connectivity features like 4G, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc.
It packs 2450mAh battery.
