Samsung India is about to launch the Tizen OS-based smartphone – Samsung Z2 Tizen (likely to be called) in India on August 11th. Few hours before the launch, a massive leave reveal most of the specifications of the upcoming smartphone & features. The leak also says that, the Samsung Z2 will be a budget smartphone like the Z1 & Z3 which were already available in India. According to SamMobile, the Samsung Z2 could be priced around US $70 which is approximately Rs. 4,999. The smartphone will be available in countries like India, Bangladesh, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, South Africa, Indonesia, Nepal and United Arab Emirates. If by chance Samsung launches the Z2 smartphone around the Rs 4,500 mark then it will compete with Reliance Digital LYF Flame 8 and Intex Cloud Fame.
There were reports that, the Samsung Z2 could also be bundled with Reliance Jio 4G Preview offer for 90 days. The offer will allow users to use unlimited HD voice calls, unlimited high-speed mobile data and unlimited access to Reliance Jio’s suite of apps that include Jio Drive, Jio Music, Jio Play, Jio Money and Jio Security among others services.
On the specifications front, the Samsung Z2 Tizen features 3.97-inch LCD display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and it is powered by 1.5GHz processor which is paired with 1GB RAM. It runs on Tizen OS 3.0 operating system and it has 8GB in-built memory which can be expanded further via microSD card.
On the photography front, it features 5-megapixel rear-camera with LED flash and VGA front-facing camera for selfie & video-calling.
It has dual-SIM support and connectivity features like 4G with VoLTE support, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.
According to the reports, the smartphone will be equipped with S Bike Mode and My Money Transfer App.
It packs 1500mAh battery.
