Samsung has launched the company’s latest Tizen OS smartphone – Samsung Z2 in India at a price tag of Rs. 4590. It comes in Gold, Black & Wine Red colours and it comes with Jio Preview offer, according to which it comes with unlimited access to voice & data along with Jio apps for 90 days. It will be exclusively available from PayTm online and through offline retail stores from August 29th. At such a price tag, the Samsung Z2 will compete with Reliance Digital LYF Flame 7, Intex Cloud Glory & Micromax Bolt Selfie, all smartphones runs on Android operating system.

On the specifications front, it features 4-inch WVGA display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and it is powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core processor which is paired with 1GB of RAM. It runs on Tizen OS 2.4 operating system and it has 8GB in-built memory which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card.
On the photography front, it features 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera.
It has dual SIM support and connectivity features like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB OTG support.
It packs 1500mAh battery and according to company claims it can deliver up to 8 hours of 4G browsing.
Samsung Z2 First Impression
The Samsung Z2 is the first 4G LTE smartphone from Samsung that runs on Tizen operating system. In addition to this, the smartphone supports 12 Indian regional languages and Samsung has also launched a My Money Transfer app that enables users to easily manage transactions & generate mini bank statements. The My Money Transfer App comes preloaded on the smartphone and enable users to transfer up to Rs. 5,000 without Internet service. By using this app, users enjoy convenient internet free banking by simply using the unique MMID which can be linked to the registered smartphone through M Pin set by the user. Money transfer to/from popular private and public banks is supported using standard IMPS.
According to Samsung, users can unlock the phones using gesture unlock feature, they can swipe upwards to switch between apps. Users can also pin up to apps so that stay on the screen even as they scroll through their list of apps. Tizen OS also comes with Smart Tutor app with a personal assistant and smart tutor will help first-time smartphone users come on board.
The Samsung Z2 comes with S bike mode for bikers and Ultra data saving (UDS) mode powered by Opera Max that compresses cellular data across all contents & saves up to 40 percent data.
