Samsung has announced the ATIV Tab 3 at premiere 2013 event in London. ATIV Tab 3 runs Windows 8 operating system, introduced as “the world’s thinnest Windows 8 tablet”.
Tab 3 is equipped with a 10.1-inch 1366 x 768-pixel display, an Intel ATOM Z2760 processor, 2GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (expandable via the on-board microSD card slot) . The ATIV Tab 3 weighs 550 grams and is just 8.2mm thick. The ATIV Tab 3 also includes an S Pen and S Note software. It features Samsung’s traditional plastic casing, and is very similar to the Android-powered Galaxy Tab. The company hasn’t provided details about the battery yet but promising up to 8.5 hours of battery life. Tab 3 is fully compatible with the Microsoft Office suite, which is preloaded on it (Office Home & Student).
As for pricing and availability, the ATIV Tab 3 will arrive in stores in early August for a pricy $699.
