Samsung has announced the company’s latest smartphone in the Galaxy Series – Galaxy Alpha and it touted as the iPhone killer. It is available in Charcoal Black, Dazzling White, Forested Gold, Sleek Silver & Scuba Blue colors and would go on sale across 150 countries globally starting this September. The phone looks elegant and sports high-end hardware specifications and it doesn’t come with plastic material. Samsung Galaxy Alpha is a part of its “new design approach” which brings “both beauty and functionality” by “combining a stunning metal frame and slim, lightweight design with the same powerful hardware and features users expect from a flagship Galaxy mobile device.”
On the specifications front, it features a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels and it is powered by a Octa-Core EXYNOS (1.8GHz Quad + 1.3GHz Quad) processor. It has 2GB RAM and 32GB in-built memory.
On the imaging front it has 12-megapixel rear-camera with LED flash and 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie & video calling. Camera modes include HDR, Panorama, Selective Focus, Dual Camera, Beauty Face, Virtual Tour and others.
Despite its metal build the Samsung Galaxy Alpha is just 6.7mm thick and weighs only 115 grams.

It is compatible with Samsung Gear Fit, Gear Live and Gear 2. Sensors include an gyro, geomagnetic, hall, light, proximity, gesture and HR. An accelerometer is present onboard as well.
