Panasonic India has launched the company’s second smartphone in the Eluga series – Eluga A in India at an initial price tag of Rs. 9,490. It is available in black & white colors and it will be available to consumers starting this Friday, August 15th. It comes with a free screen guard.
At the launch, Manish Sharma, Managing Director, Panasonic India said,
“Through ELUGA, Panasonic will bring advanced technological innovations to the Indian smartphone users and with ELUGA A, we have successfully integrated into the premium gadget, advanced technology for Audio enhancements, voice clarity, faster charging, longer battery life and local language features, in tune with the needs of the Indian consumer.”
Adding more to it, Mr. Pankaj Rana, Head Mobility Business, Panasonic India, said,
“ELUGA smartphones present our customers with superior design, advanced technology integration and unique user interface for single hand operation. We are sure that this phone will meet our customer’s needs”
On the specifications front, it has 5-inch FWVGA IPS display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels and it is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor which is paired with 1GB of RAM. It has 4GB in-built memory which can be expanded further up to 32GB via microSD card and it runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Panasonic’s Fit Home UI that facilitates single-hand usage.
On the imaging front, it has 8-megapixel rear-camera with LED flash and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfie & video calling.
It is a dual-SIM phone that supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 A-GPS and FM radio.
It measures 143.8 x 72 x 9.2 mm and packs 2,000mAh Li-Ion battery.
The Panasonic Eluga A offers features like Qualcomm Audio+ audio enhancement technology, Voice+ voice enhancement technology, Qualcomm’s BatteryGuru for efficient power management and Quick charge for up to 40% faster charging. Eluga A also features support for major India languages allowing users to browse the web, chat and navigate the phone menu in their local language. The smartphone sports a single hand operative “Fit Home” user interface with features such as “Kwik Lock”, where the user can double tap the home screen to lock.
