Microsoft has released Office Mobile for iPhone in the app store. The app is available for Office 365 Home Premium and Office 365 ProPlus subscribers. Office Mobile is an iPhone-friendly version of Office 365, Microsoft’s premium online productivity suite for Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more. The iPhone app enables great Office content viewing and on-the-go content editing capabilities. Unfortunately, the release is iPhone-only; there is no iPad version.
The app is capable of viewing or editing documents with full formatting maintained, including charts, animations, SmartArt graphics and shapes. Office Mobile makes it quick and easy to access your Office content in the cloud on SkyDrive or SkyDrive Pro, also you can view and edit Office documents sent in email. You can make quick edits and share your documents right from your phone with Office Mobile.
You can view as well as edit the documents within the app and it keeps a tab of your recently opened documents. All changes made are instantly saved online but if you don’t have a connection you can continue editing the document and the changes will be uploaded as soon as your iPhone is connected to the internet.
Office Mobile for iPhone available at no extra charge for Office 365 Home Premium and Office 365 ProPlus subscribers, and is now available on the Apple App Store.
Requirements:
- An Office 365 paid subscription is required to use this app.
- Compatible with iPhone 4, 4S, and 5, iPod Touch 5th Generation. Requires iOS 6.1 or later.
- Microsoft Office 2013 on a PC is needed for features like recent documents and resume reading.
