HMD Global has announced the first Nokia smartphone – Nokia 6 at a price tag of 1699 yuan. The smartphone comes in Black colour and it will be available exclusively from JD.com in the first half in China. As of now, the Nokia 6 is exclusive to China and it will be available for purchase in early 2017 through JD.com.
On the specifications front, the Nokia 6 features 5.5-inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The Nokia 6 is powered by 64-bit Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor which is paired with Adreno 505 GPU & 4GB LPDDR3 RAM. The Nokia 6 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and it has 64GB in-built memory which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card.
On the photography front, the Nokia 6 features 16MP rear-camera with phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), 1.0um sensor, dual-tone LED flash and 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie & video-calling.
The Nokia 6 comes with dual-SIM support and connectivity features like 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB OTG.
The Nokia 6 has dual-speakers – one on the top and other on the bottom, smart dual amplifier chips which offers 6dB louder sound and Dolby Atmos. The Nokia 6 has aluminium alloy unibody design and there is a fingerprint sensor on the home button.
The Nokia 6 packs 3000mAh battery.
