Microsoft has just launched the company’s most affordable 4G smartphone – Microsoft Lumia 638 in India at a price tag of Rs. 8,299. Originally, it was introduced in China back in June. It comes in Black & White colours and it is available for pre-booking from December 17th on Amazon.in. It will be also available from Microsoft Brand Store. For a limited time, it comes with exclusive offer on Airtel 4G that offers up to 5GB of free data on 4G for 2 months for Airtel Post-paid customers in Bengaluru. This offer lasts till 31st March 2015.
Commenting at the launch, Raghuvesh Sarup, Director – Marketing, Nokia India Sales Pvt. Ltd. (a subsidiary of Microsoft Mobile Oy), said:

On the specifications front, it features 4.5-inch FWVGA screen with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels and it is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor which is paired with 1GB of RAM. It runs on Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Cyan and has 8GB in-built memory which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card.
On the imaging front, it features 5-megapixel auto-focus rear-camera without flash and there is no front-facing camera.
It has dual-SIM support and connectivity features 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and GPS/aGPS.
It packs 1830mAh battery.
