Micromax has launched the company’s latest tablet – Micromax Canvas Tabby P469 in India at a price tag of Rs. 6,499. It comes in White colour and will be available from June 22nd exclusively on Flipkart for a period of 3 weeks and will be released across all online & retail channels later. It is a dual use tablet which can be used by both parents & kids. The parent use mode offers complete access to the tablet while the kids-use mode lets kids to learn, explore and grown through content backed by parental control. The Kids-use mode is powered by EddyPaddy which is developed by kids-content company called Educren. It comes with kid-safe zone with over 100 originally designed, pre-loaded applications and access to over 500 curated videos under Education, Creativity and Entertainment.
It comes with a specially designed operating system for kids between the age of 2 and 8 years. You can create a profile for your child and get age-specific content. You can also set a time limit on specific days so your child doesn’t get hooked to it.
On the specifications front, it features 7-inch TFT display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and it is powered by 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek 8312 processor which is paired with 1GB of RM. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and has 8GB in-built memory which can be expanded further by using microSD card.
On the imaging front, it features 2-megapixel rear-camera and VGA front-facing camera for selfie & video-calling.
It has dual-SIM support with connectivity features like 3G (voice calling), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS.
It packs 3200mAh battery.
