Micromax has announced the company’s latest selfie-focused smartphone – Micromax Canvas Selfie. The smartphone will be available across offline channels from end of May 2016 and there are no details on the pricing yet. The phone has Tap Sensor at the back which allow users to easily click a picture, swap camera from front to back & vice-versa with a single tap using a single hand. It can also be used to answer a call with a double tap.

On the specifications front, it features 5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and it is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor which is paired with 1GB of RAM. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and has 8GB in-built memory which can be expanded further up to 32GB via microSD card.
On the imaging front, it features 8MP rear-camera with LED flash and 8MP front-facing camera for selfie & video-calling.
It has dual-SIM support and connectivity features like 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS.
It packs 2500mAh battery.
