At an event in Beijing, Meizu announced the company’s latest and flagship smartphone – Meizu PRO 5 at a starting price of 2799 Yuan. It comes in Gray, SIlver, Silver Black & Golden colours. The 3G variant with 32GB in-built memory costs 2799 Yuan (US $440), 4GB variant with 64GB in-built memory costs 3099 Yuan (US $485). It will be available for order in China starting today and will go on sale starting October 12. It is expected to be launched in India in an around October.
On the specifications front, it features 5.7-inch Super AMOLED HD display with a resolution fo 1920 x 1080 pixels and it is powered by 2.5GHz Samsung EXYNOS 7420 processor processor which is paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM. It runs on Android 5.1 with Fylme OS on top and has 32GB/64GB in-built memory.
On the imaging front, it features 21.6-megapixel rear-camera with Laser auto-focus 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie & video-calling.
It has hybrid-SIM card support which means second SIM card slot can be used as a microSD card slot. It also has reversible USB Type-C port and Cat.6 LTE support which offers download speed of up to 300Mbps, VoLTE and support for TD-LTE (band 38/39/40/41) and FDD-LTE (band 1/3/7) . It has connectivity features like 4G LTE (TD-LTE / LTE-FDD) / 3G HSPA+ , WiFi 802.11 ac/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS.
It packs 3050mAh battery which comes with mCharge 2.0 and it charges the battery up to 65% in just 30 minutes.
The smartphone hs a metal build and follows the same design languages that you come across all Meizu smartphone.
It has mBack touch-sensitive home button which offers different functions when press and mTouch 2.1 fingerprint recognition technology.
It has ES9018 Audio DAC, Texas Instruments OPA1612 operational amplifier and a passive filter for crystal clear audio.
