MediaTek has announced the company’s latest processor in Helio P series – MediaTek Helio P25. The MediaTek Helio P25 has high-performance auto exposure – Turbo 3A to accelerate AE convergence speed to 30-55%. Originally, the Helio P25 unveiled in China back in September last year and it is based on 16nm TSMC process technology. The processor has MediaTek Imagiq Image Signal Processor (ISP) technology same as P20 while the P25 with 13MP dual camera support optimized for Color + Mono de-noise as well as real-time shallow DoF bokeh and Video HDR with full preview.
The MediaTek Helio P25 is designed to offer premium quality imaging, high-end camera features, and other innovative photography technology. The MediaTek Helio P25 has Octa-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor clocked at up to 2.5GHz, slightly faster than 2.3GHz P20. The MediaTek Helio P25 is paired with ARM Mali-T880 dual GPU clocked at up to 900MHz, Cat.6 LTE, up to 6GB LPDDR4x memory are same as P20.
Smartphones powered by MediaTek Helio P25 are expected to be available sometime in Q1 2017.
