LG Unveils G3 Flagship Smartphone With 5.5-inch Quad HD Display, Android 4.4.2 KitKat, Snapdragon 801 Processor, 13MP Camera OIS With Laser Autofocus

Finally all the rumours & speculations comes to an end as the LG has officially announced its latest flagship smartphone – the LG G3 today in an event in London. If you do not know, it is the successor of the popular LG G2 which as announced last year in the month of August. It is available in two models one is 16GB i-built memory & 2GB RAM and the other one is with 32GB in-built storage & has 3GB RAM. The LG G3 is made up of polycarbonate with a special layer on top that gives finish close to metal.

On the specifications front LG G3 features a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and it is the first kind on main stream device although Vivo Xplay 3S is the first Quad HD phone. It is powered by 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and it is paired with 2GB/3GB RAM variant and has internal storage of 16GB/32GB which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.

On the imaging front, the smartphone comes with advanced 13MP rear-camera with OIS+ & laser autofocus and 2.1MP front-facing camera. The laser auto-focus is a first of its kind on smartphones and if you planning to purchase next smartphone, then LG G3 might be the next choice.

The LG G3 also comes with Knock Code, whichenables users to unlock their device with a pattern of taps. In addition to this, users have the option to use KnockON feature, to wake the screen to check the time as well as enter the home screen directly via Knock Code.

There is no word on the pricing as of now but it will be available from starting may 28th in South Korea and shortly it will be rolled out worldwide on over 170 carries. The LGG3 flagship smartphone will be available in five vibrant colors: Metallic Black, Silk White, Shine Gold, Moon Violet and Burgundy Red.
