At the MWC Shanghai, Intex has officially launched the company’s first smartphone – Intex iRist at a price tag of Rs. 11,999. It comes in Black, Orange & Pink colours and will go on sale early August. It will be available exclusively on eBay.in and comes with Bluetooth Stereo headset in the box. It has in-built 3G SIM support and support to make or receive calls & SMS.

On the specifications front, it features 1.56-inch OLED display with a resolution of 240 x 240 pixels and it is protected by Sapphire glass. It is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor which is paired with 512MB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Google Play Store and has 4GB in-built memory out of which only 1.3GB available for user and the in-built memory can be expanded further by using microSD card.
On the imaging front, it features 5-megapixel camera on the right side and supports 720 pixels video-recording.
It has connectivity features like 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS.
It packs 600mAh battery which offers up to 240 minutes talk time and up to 200h standby time.
It is dust & water resistant and comes with pedometer.
Intex says that it is the first Indian company to launch an Android-powered smartwatch, as said in a press release.
