Intex has launched the company’s latest smartphone in the Aqua series – Intex Aqua S2 in India at a price tag of Rs. 4,990. it comes in Champagne, White & Grey colours and it is currently listed on company’s official website & will be launched on October 16th, 2016. The smartphone comes with screen guard & a protection cover. The Intex Aqua S2 comes with pre-loaded apps like Daily Hunt, Newspoint, Saavn, Opera Mini, LFTY and Matrabhasha. The Intex Aqua S2 will join the likes of Cloud String HD, Aqua S7, Aqua Secure and Cloud String V2.0 in the affordable segment. There is a fingerprint sensor at the back.
On the specifications front, the Intex Aqua S2 features 5-inch FWVGA IPS display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels and it is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC7731 processor which is paired with 1GB of RAM. it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and it has 8GB in-built memory which can be expanded further up to 32GB via microSD card.
On the photography front, the Intex Aqua S2 features 5MP rear-camera with LED flash & 5MP front-facing camera with LED flash for selfie & video-calling.
It has dual-SIM connectivity features like 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS.
The smartphone measures 146.4×73.0x9.65mm and weighs 153.8 grams.
It packs 2450mAh battery which offers to deliver up to 5 hours of talk-time & 110 hours of standby time.
The Aqua S2 comes with features like Emergency Rescue and Smart Gesture. The Emergency Rescue feature on the Intex Aqua S2 allows users to send SOS messages to preset recipients in case of emergencies. To activate the feature, you have to press the volume button for three seconds and after that the smartphone will send an SOS message to the contacts assigned by the user with the current location of the sender.
At such a price tag, the Intex Aqua S2 will compete with Xolo Era 1X, Alcatel Pixi 4 and few others.
