After lots of rumours and leaks, finally the 2014 HTC One (M8) officially announced in a special event in New York and if you do not know it is the successor of last year’s HTC One (M7). It features a 5.0-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, powered by 2.5GHz/2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with new HTC sense 6.0 UI and 2GB RAM. There are two storage versions – 16GB and 32GB but with the use of microSD memory card, you can easily expand it to 128GB.
It has Duo camera setup, the primary one being a HTC Ultrapixel camera with BSI sensor (1/3” BSI sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 28mm lens, pixel size of 2.0 microns) and 1080p Full HD video recording and a secondary rear camera to capture depth information. It has dual LED flash that automatically selects the right tone and intensity based on the scene. it has 5-megapixel front-facing camera wide-angle lens (f/2.0 aperture) with 1080p Full HD video recording with HDR videos. The duo camera brings new features such as UFocus that uses the depth information to easily change the focus of a photo, Foregounder feature to apply fun and artistic filters to the background of an image and more, Dimenions Plus, Seasons and Image match feature.
Audio hasn’t been neglected as it comes with Dual front-facing stereo speakers with built-in multi-band amplifiers and HTC BoomSound technology, it improves volume, sound quality and boasts bass. The HTC One (M8) has 70 percent metal unibody build, wrapping al the way around the sides for a curved finish and right up to the edge of the display screen.
It packs 2600mAh battery which ensures a talk time of up to 20 hours for 3G. The battery life is also improved by 40% when compared to the HTC One. It measures 9.35mm in thickness and weighs 160 grams. It will be available in Gunmetal gray, Glacial Silver, Amber Gold colours and it will be rolled out in Australia, Taiwan, UK, Germany, France, China, US before the end of April and for the unlocked version the expected price is $599.
The HTC One (M8) comes with features like Motion Launch, it allows you to unlock your phone, access your homescreen and launch apps with built-in motion sensors. the new Zoe Camera UI, new BlinkFeed and other features. The HTC Sense TV also upgraded with new features, now it display official Facebook and Twitter pages, along with popular hashtags of the TV show you are watching. HTC has also partnered with Google and is offering 50GB of Google Drive storage for free for 2 years.

The HTC One (M8) also gets some cool accessories which includes innovative HTC Dot View case, the HTC Flip case and the Double Dip one.
