HTC has announced the company’s latest smartphone – HTC Desire 650 in Taiwan and it will go on sale starting from December 1st, 2016. The HTC Desire 650 price is NT $5490 (US $171). It comes in Polar White & Blue colours. As of now, there is no details about the global roll out. The HTC Desire 650 has unique back panel with 50% flat surface and the remaining 50% has ridges that offers a better grip.
On the specifications front, the HTC Desire 650 comes with 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and it is it protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by quad-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon processor which is paired with 2GB of RAM. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with HTC Sense UI on top and it has 16GB in-built memory which can be expanded further up to 2TB via microSD card.
On the photography front, HTC Desire 650 comes with 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, BSI sensor, 1080p video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with a BSI sensor for selfie.
It has connectivity features like 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS / GLONASS , NFC.
It measures 146.9×70.9×8.4mm and weighs 140 grams.
It packs 2200mAh battery which offers up to 17 hours of talk-time and up to 672 hours of standby time.
It is equipped with some features like “Night Mode”, the display of the smartphone will automatically adjust when it is in a low light environment. HTC Freestyle allows users to make their own illustrations of app icons which can be either linked to the original app or can be used as the official icon itself. It has BoomSound experience and Hi-Res audio playback, but it doesn’t have dual speakers. The smartphone comes with compatible audio-visual equipment and three-finger swipe gesture, along with functions like Pick up Mute and Pocket Mode.
