Google has released an official Google Wallet app for iOS devices (iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch) and with this Google brings its popular mobile payment service to Apple’s platform for the first time. With this app you can easily transfer money to friends, keep track of numerous loyalty cards and integration with Google Offers for redeeming discounts based on location using the app. In addition to this, Google Wallet app for iOS allow US-based users to scan in their debit and credit cards, which can be used for sending people money and making purchases online (don’t worry, Google Wallet comes with 24/7 fraud monitoring and Wallet Purchase Protection).
Google Wallet app for iOS comes with many features but still it does not have all the features when compared with Google Wallet app for Android. Google Wallet for iOS does not support NFC connectivity and also many major carriers in U.S will not be supporting this because of due investments in rival mobile payment platform ISIS. For example, you can’t make in-store payments with the app as it is limited to only a handful of NFC-enabled Android devices.
