In an event in New Delhi, Google India has launched the latest Chromecast 2 streaming device & the Chromecast Audio in India at a price tag of Rs. 3,399 each. The Chromecast 2 and Chromecast Audio available online on retailers like Flipkart, Snapdeal, Paytm as well as offline retailers like Reliance & Croma. Both the device comes with free HOOQ subscription and Saavn subscription for 6 months.

The new Chromecast (Chromecast 2) comes in a circular design and it has a small built-in HDMI cable. The puck clips to the HDMI cable with a magnet and it comes with Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4GHz/5Ghz) support. It lets you cast content from mobile apps and PCs, Macs, Chromebook or laptops from Chrome browser to your TV at 1080p resolution.
The Chromecast Audio lets you connect it to your loudspeaker’s AUX input port and cast audio from Android, iOS devices, Chromebook, Mac and Windows laptops to the speakers. You just need to press the cast button in music apps to start casting. Google said that Wynk and Saavn support Google Cast, for casting audio through Chromecast Audio. It has Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4GHz/5Ghz) support, similar to the Chromecast. Both these have a power button a microUSB port for charging and also come with charger in the box. Chromecast Audio turns speakers in your home into a wireless audio streaming device.
The Chromecast app has been updated to make it easier to search for content across the thousands of apps that work with Chromecast—the app provides personalized suggestions as well as functionality for specific searches.
