Google has introduced, the $35 Chromecast dongle that brings online content to your HDTV. According to Google Chromecast is the easiest way to enjoy online video and music on your TV.
Chromecast is compatible with the application like Google Play, YouTube, and Nteflix. In addition, Chrome webpages can be streamed to the television through a Chrome extension – Google Cast. The Google Cast extension enables you to find and play content on your Chromecast device from your Chrome browser. The feature is still in beta, and requires a fast computer and Wi-Fi network.
You’ll see new options that let you play video on your TV via Chromecast – using your computer as a remote to browse for videos and to control playback. You can also cast a tab from Chrome to enjoy online videos, music, photos, and more on your TV.
You can select certain Chrome tabs to “cast” and control when you want them to or not. Google says when you’re on Cast-optimized sites like YouTube and Netflix, you’ll see new options that let you play video on your TV.
