Dell has launched Latitude 14 Rugged Extreme notebook and the Latitude 12 Rugged Extreme convertible notebooks in India at a price tag of Rs. 2,29,999 & Rs. 2,39,999 respectively. Both these notebooks operate in extreme conditions such as dust, moisture, drops, vibration, extreme temperatures and other such conditions, in fields such as military service, manufacturing, construction and heavy industries.

Both the notebooks are tested to military standards like drops up to six feet, ingress protection, emissions and hazardous materials certifications by a third-party testing facility. Both notebooks have a durable pogo-pin docking, a customizable RGB keyboard, native serial ports, a privacy shutter on the webcam & stealth mode.
On the specifications front, it features 11.6-inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels on Latitude 12 and 14-inch with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels on Latitude 14 Rugged Extreme notebooks. It is powered by fourth-generation Intel processor which is paired with up to 16GB memory5 and up to 512GB solid state storage. It features 8-megapixel bottom camera with flash on the Latitude 12 Rugged Extreme notebook.
It has Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Optical Dell Wireles 5570E single-mode HSPA+ card and optional SiRFstarY dedicated GPS and antenna GPS. Both notebooks also have data protection and encryptions including TPM 1.2, Dell Data Protection | Encryption and ControlVault advanced authentication.
