Bharti Airtel Waunches Wi-Fi App – Airtel Hangout

Bharti Airtel launched the Wi-Fi app – Airtel Hangout. Airtel customers can download the Hangout app free from Android or iOS store and experience faster internet speeds. Airtel focusing on Wi-Fi zones specifically those who provide customers a superior data experience and Airtel already gone live across 8 locations in Delhi/NCR in a short span of time and these Wi-Fi zone locations are Khalsa College, Gangaram Hospital, DLF Star Mall, DLF Grand Mall, Supreme Court, Delhi High Court and Khan Market. Airtel had also recently won the mandate for the launch of Wi-Fi services in MG Road, Sadar Bazaar, Sector 29, Sirhaul Village and Leisure Valley Park from the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG).

Announcing the launch, Ajai Puri, Director – Market Operations, Bharti Airtel said:

“We constantly innovate to find newer ways to enrich the lives of mobile users in the country. With the Airtel Hangout app, we aim to enable more & more users to experience superior and superfast mobile internet speeds by seamlessly latching on to our Wi-Fi zone and enjoy many more internet capabilities on their mobile device on the move”.

When you install the app, customer have to validate his/her phone number to start the sessions on Airtel Hangout and once the number validated, every time whenever the customer is nearby Airtel Wi-Fi zone, it will automatically connect to the Wi-Fi network. Customers can make these necessary settings under the app preference settings. Airtel customers will just need to have an activated Airtel 3G/4G pack/plan since the Wi-Fi data consumption will be charged from this pack/plan.

Starting from tomorrow, visitors at DLF Cyber Hub will be able to connect to world class internet experience on the move and the Wi-Fi zone will be an open platform for users across mobile operators having Wi-Fi compatible devices. As a customer you will get a free quota limit of 25MB per day per device. Users have to just switch on Wi-Fi on their device settings and connect to the Wi-Fi named “AirtelWiFiZone”. Post exhaustion of the 25 MB quota, the Wi-Fi will be available exclusively to Airtel customers via the Airtel Hangout app.
