Bharti Airtel and Uber announced first-of-its-kind strategic partnership and as a part of this, Uber riders across India can now pay for their trips by using Airtel Mobile Wallet Service – Airtel Money. it is also said that, Mumbaikars will be the first one to enjoy the free Wi-Fi, powered by Airtel 4G and this service will be soon rolled out across pan India. As a promotional offer, new Uber riders who top up their Airtel Money wallet will earn up to Rs. 500 for free.

As a result of this strategic partnership, Airtel also become the Uber’s official telecom partner across India. Additionally, Uber will also offer exclusive promotions, discounts and experiences to Airtel customers & it includes Rs. 500 off on their first ride upon using Airtel Money. Users who already using Airtel Money, can link their account on Uber’s mobile app and to do this, you have to select “Paymet” from the menu in Uber app, tap “Add Payment”, tap “Airtel Money” to add account. After that you can select Airtel Money as their Payment method and take a ride.
Earlier Uber added cash payment option in Chennai this week, after it was successful in Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Kochi and Pune. Above all, you can also pay for Uber rides using Paytm wallet, debit & credit cards.
