Asus has launched the company’s latest smartphone – Asus Zenfone AR in India at a price tag of Rs. 49,999. The smartphone comes in Black color with leather back and it is available exclusively on Flipkart starting from 4:00 P.M. The main highlight of the smartphone is that it comes with 8GB of RAM and it is the world’s first smartphone that is compatible with both Tango AR platform & Google’s Daydream VR platform. The smartphone houses a horizontal camera module at the back and leather finish rear panel which offers premium feel. Originally, the smartphone was first unveiled at CES 2017.

On the specifications front, the Asus Zenfone AR features 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The Asus Zenfone AR is powered by 2.3GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor which is optimized for Google Google Tango and Daydream VR performance and it is paired with Adreno 530 GPU & 8GB LPDDR4 RAM. The Asus Zenfone AR runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with Zen UI 3.0 on top of it and it has 128GB internal storage which can be expanded further up to 2TB via microSD card.
Camera:
On the camera side, the Asus Zenfone AR features 23-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, a motion tracking, and a depth sensing camera that supports Tango’s AR capabilities, dual-tone LED flash. The TriTech system can focus as fast as 0.03 second and uses PDAF, laser auto focus and subject-tracking autofocus for quick focus. The smartphone has an 8-megapixel front facing the camera with a screen flash for selfie & video-calling.

The Asus Zenfone AR has Hybrid Dual SIM card support and comes with connectivity features like 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac5 GHz 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C. The smartphone comes with sensors like accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, digital compass, gyroscope, an infrared sensor, and proximity sensor.

The smartphone comes with a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button and it unlocks your phone even if your fingers are wet. The smartphone comes with an “immersive” five-magnet speaker that supports High-Res Audio and DTS HD Premium sound and dual-microphone active noise cancellation for better audio quality.
