Back in August 2016, Asus launched the Zenfone 3 Laser in India at a price tag of Rs. 18,999 and starting from today the smartphone will be on sale across the country. It comes in Glacier Silver & Sand Gold colours and it will be exclusively available on Flipkart for a month, after that it will also be available on other leading e-commerce sites, retail stores and Asus Exclusive Stores across India. The Asus Zenfone 3 Laser is the successor of last year Zenfone 2 Laser and it comes with number of noticeable changes.

On the specifications front, the Asus Zenfone 3 Laser features 5.5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and it is protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The display comes with a special feature called ‘Bluelight filter’, which is aimed at reducing eye fatigue. It is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor which is paired with Adreno 505 GPU & 4GB of RAM. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with ZenUI on top of it and it has 32GB in-built memory which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card.
On the photography front, the Asus Zenfone 3 Laser features 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED real tone flash, Sony IMX214 sensor and 2nd gen laser auto focus that lets you focus in 0.03 seconds. It is also equipped with Color correction RGB sensor and electronic image stabilization (EIS) for blur-free videos. It has 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0, 89-degree wide-angle view and it comes with features like HDR & Lowlight selfie.
It has Hybrid SIM card slot and connectivity features like 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct and hotspot and Bluetooth 4.0.
It has a unibody metal body and has a fingerprint sensor on the back that can unlock the phone in 0.2 seconds. The smartphone allows registration of up to five fingerprints.
It packs 3,000mAh battery which offers up to 22 days of standby time on 3G network.
At such a price tag, the Asus Zenfone 3 Laser will compete with Lenovo Z2 Plus, Xiaomi Mi Max, Nextbit Robin and few others.
