HTC has launched the company’s latest & flagship smartphone – HTC 10 in India at a price tag of Rs. 52,990. It comes in Carbon Grey and Topaz Gold colour and will be available from June 5th, 2016. First 500 buyers will get a free cover. The HTC 10 Lifestyle with Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 & 3GB RAM will go on sale on the same day but there is no word on the pricing yet. Originally, HTC 10 announced last month and they have dropped the “One” moniker from the smartphone name . The company says that the design is inspired by sunlight, with the chamfered edges and dual-textured finish inspired by the effect of light across a metal surface. The front is covered with glass that flows into the metal body at the edges. HTC also says that the smartphone has been put under numerous drop and scratch tests, and it has survived them. It also features world’s first ‘stereo 24-bit Hi-Res audio recording capabilities, which is able to capture up to 256 times more detail than standard recordings, a fingerprint scanner embedded into the home button, HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi edition with Dolby Audio support.

On the specifications front, HTC 10 features 5.2-inch quad HD super LCD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and it is protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by 1.6GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor which is paired with 4GB of RAM. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system HTC Sense 8.0 UI on top of it and it has 32GB/64GB in-built memory which can be expanded further upto 2TB via microSD card.

On the imaging front, it features 12-Ultrapixel 2 camera with f/1.8 aperture, optical image stabilization (OIS), laser auto-focus, and 4K video recording capabilities. It also features Pro mode, Auto HDR, HTC Zoe, hyperlapse and slow motion mode. It has 5-megapixel front-facing camera with auto-focus selfie camera with 1.34MICROm pixels, OIS, f/1.8 aperture, auto HDR and ultra-wide angle lens.

It has connectivity features like 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n (2.4 and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS with GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C

It packs 3000mAh built-in battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 that can charge up to 50% in 30 minutes.
