In an event in New Delhi, Xiaomi has launched the company’s latest smartphone in Redmi Y series – Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite at a price tag of Rs. 6,999. The smartphone comes in Gold & Dark Gray color and it will be available exclusively on Amazon.in, Mi.com, Mi Home & Offline stores starting from November 8th, 2017. For your information, the Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite is the toned down version of Xiaomi Redmi Y1.

The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite features 5.5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The smartphone is powered by 1.4GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor which is paired with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone runs on Android 7.1. Nougat with MIUI on top of it and has 32GB internal storage which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card.

On the imaging front, the smartphone features 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, PDAF and 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfie & video-calling.

The smartphone has dedicated dual-SIM card slot and comes with connectivity features like 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / GLONASS.

The smartphone comes with features like split-screen mode, and dynamic resource allocation feature.

The smartphone packs 3080mAh battery and according to company claim, it offers 35 hours of call time and 11 days of standby time.
