In an event in New Delhi, Xiaomi has launched the company’s latest smartphone in the Redmi series – Xiaomi Redmi 4 in India at a price tag of Rs. 6,999. The smartphone comes in Gorgeous Black & Elegant Gold color and it will go on sale on Mi.com and Amazon.in on May 23rd, 2017. In addition o this, you can also get the Xiaomi Redmi 4 from Mi Home in Bengaluru starting from May 20th. The Redmi 4 comes in 3 variants – 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage cost Rs. 6,999, 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage cost Rs. 8,999 while the 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage cost Rs. 10,999. Originally, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 was launched back in November last year and replaces the Xiaomi Redmi 3s smartphone.
Display, Processor, Operating System, and Memory:
On the specifications front, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 features 5-inch HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and it is powered by 1.4GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor which is paired with Adreno 505 GPU & 2GB/3GB/4GB of RAM. The smartphone has run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system (upgradeable to Android 7.0 Nougat) with MIUI 8.0 on top of it and it has 16GB/32GB/64GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
Camera:
On the photography front, the smartphone features 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, dual-tone LED flash and 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie & video-calling.
SIM Card Support, and Connectivity Features:
The smartphone has Hybrid dual-SIM support and comes with connectivity features like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS.
Dimensions, and Weighs:
The smartphone measures 139.2×69.6×8.65mm and weigh 150g.
Features:
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 has a metal frame and fingerprint sensor on the back. The smartphone is “Made in India” and it comes with features like App Lock (password and fingerprint locks for apps), Second Space (allowing multi), and Dual Apps (allowing users to utilize two different WhatsApp accounts simultaneously).
Battery:
The smartphone packs 4100mAh battery and offers up to 36 hours of talk time, and up to 430 hours of standby time.
Competitors:
At such a price tag, the smartphone will compete with Moto G4 Play, Coolpad Note 5 Lite and few others.
