Unify Remote Control App updated to version 3.0 and the new version comes with new user experience & adds many new exciting features. In addition to this, the new version comes with compatibility fixes for Windows Phone devices.
If you don’t know, Unify helps you to control your Windows laptop, desktop or media center PC using your Windows Phone as remote control.
According to release notes
Redesigned UX – We’ve changed the colour scheme to fit with new branding and completely redesigned the media controls. Transport buttons are now at the top and match with standard Windows Phone media controls.
Windows Media Center Integration – We’ve added an optional plugin for Windows Media Center. At this stage, this plugin can be thought of as a public beta and only shows the now playing status and play state information. We hope to grow into a more integrated experience over the next few months and would really appreciate any feedback. Unify uses the accelerometer in your phone to automatically display the now playing information when your phone is placed on a table and switches back to controls when you pick it up.
Other Improvements – We’ve added the option to use your accent colour throughout the app and the option to not display the splash screen when Unify Server starts up. We’ve also completely re-written most of the touchpad functionality, making it more efficient and better at recognizing gestures. Autodiscovery now works as expected on Windows Phone 8 devices too.
