Twitter updates its Android and iOS app to bring new security and search features, photo galleries, list management and some more interesting enhancements. Now Twitter offers its users more secure way to log into their accounts and better control over logins via mobile phones. The updated Twitter App is available now in iTunes and Google Play to download.
The new update incorporates two-step verification feature for added security and an in-app approval system. Now you can enroll in login verification and approve login requests directly from your Android and iOS app. You can turn on Log In verification by going into the security settings. Twitter will provide back-up codes that can be written down and stored in a safe place. You will need to use this code if you need to access your account when you don’t have your phone or if you lose your phone. After you’ve enabled login verification, you can manage login requests and access your backup codes on Twitter for iOS and Android. Users with one number and multiple Twitter accounts can now opt all of them into login verification.
In addition, with the new update Twitter enhanced search suggestions which will now include social context in the results, so you can see how you’re connected to other users. The update also brings a new photo gallery in search. You can select “View more photos” option that will lead you to a photo gallery of all the photos related to that search. Specially for iOS users there is a new photo gallery on user profiles and list management within the app.
