Sony Xperia C3 Selfie Smartphone Launched For Rs 23,990

Sony has launched the company’s latest seflie-focused smartphone – Sony Xperia C3 in India at an initial price tag of Rs. 23,990. Originally it was announced back in July and it is specially targetted at those who can’t take enough selfies in their lives. It comes in Black, White and Mint colours and it would go on sale starting September 1st across Sony Center, Sony Smartphone Lounge and major Mobiles & electronics stores across India.

On the specifications front, it has 5.5-inch HD Triluminos display which gets some help from the Bravia Engine 2 technology, has resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and it is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor which is paired with 1GB of RAM. it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and has 8GB in-built memory which can be expanded further up to 64GB via microSD card.

On the imaging front, it has 5-megapixel front-facing camera with wide-angle lens along with soft LED flash. According to Sony, users can click selfies by simply double tapping the back cover or using the phone’s Smile Shutter. It claims that pictures are automatically adjusted for suitable lighting conditions and the auto scene recognition function, which works together with HDR and LED flash, ensures that users can capture enhanced selfies and selfie videos in all light conditions. The phone is also pre-loaded with selfie camera apps such as self-timer, Superior Auto mode, beautification, Portrait Retouch, option to capture images by simply double tapping the back cover, Smile Shutter and more new features. It also has 8-megapixel rear-camera with LED flash.

It has dual-SIM support and has connectivity features like 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0 and GLONASS for navigation, besides GPS.

It packs 2500mAh battery which is rated for up to 24 hours of talk time and 1,071 hours of standby time, according to Sony.
