Sony has started rolling out Android 4.4 Kitkat update for the Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z1 Compact. The new firmware rollout starts right now for all three smartphones but timing & availability of the update may vary by market & carrier for different regions. You can check for the latest software update on your device, if you have one of these Sony Smartphone. The Android 4.4 KitKat update brings performance tweaks, lot of under the hood improvements, new skin and new features.

We have not finished yet, here is more good news for Sony fans! Sony also announced the list of devices that would get the Android 4.4 KitKat later this year. Android 4.4 KitKat is already in development for the next lineup of the Sony Smartphones. Here is the list of Sony smartphones that would get the Android 4.4 KitKat update by mid-Q2 2014 (it may be May or June this year):
