Skype has updated its Android, iPhone and iPad App with video message filters. Video message filters are basically video effects that allows you to add more fun to your Skype video messages, isn’t cool?
In Skype, video messages allow you to record short clips and after recording those clicks you can send them to your Skype contacts. In order to add a filter, you have to simply tap the filter wand which is at the bottom left of the video message window. You can choose a filter to see it in action & click on the record button to record it. Apart from video message filters, Skype also updated the iPhone app with 3D Touch which brings Peek & Pop features. Users with iPhone 6S/iPhone 6S Plus can Force Touch the Skype Icon on home screen to quickly search Skype contact, start a call or chat & access the Skype dial pad. By clicking on any of these option, it takes you to that task in Skype instantly.
As soon as you enter into the app, you can Force Touch the recent conversation to Peek the latest messages or live video if you are on a call. Above all, swiping up reveals more actions and a harder press will pop the conversation into the foreground. You can also Force Touch Peek shared location, photo, URL or contact inside a conversation and swipe up to reveal more actions or harder press to pop it into the foreground.
With the updated version, you can also hide & delete chats from your recent conversations by swiping the contact or tapping Edit and chose to either delete the entire chat history or simply hide it from your recent list.
