SanDisk Corporation has announced a new series of wireless storage and streaming device – SanDisk Connect. SanDisk’s new wireless flash drive wirelessly beams files to your tablet or phone. SanDisk Connect line up includes SanDisk Connect Wireless Flash Drive and SanDisk Connect Wireless Media Drive. SanDisk Connect offers an easier way to access and share content across multiple mobile devices.
“With the new SanDisk Connect product line, we combined the portability of small flash memory storage devices with the convenience of wireless streaming and sharing functionality,” said Dinesh Bahal, vice president, product marketing, SanDisk.
SanDisk Connect Wireless Flash Drive and SanDisk Connect Wireless Media Drive, both based on Wi-Fi, there is no need to use a typical USB cable. Next time when you run out of space on any of your mobile devices without an SD card slot, SanDisk Connect can hold additional files and beam them to your device. SanDisk Connect allows users to wirelessly store, share and stream content, across mobile devices like smartphones and tablets. The media drive wirelessly connects up to eight mobile devices and can stream up to five different HD movies at once.
Both sets of devices can stream movies, music or other data to PCs, Macs, iOS and Android devices or even Kindle Fires. All you need to grab SanDisk’s own iOS, Android, or web apps to actually access your files. SanDisk Connect apps available for download from the App Store, Google Play™ Store and the Amazon Appstore for Android.
