In an event in New Delhi, Panasonic India has launched the company’s latest latest tablet – Toughpad FZ-E1/X1 and semi-rugged Toughbook CF-54 in India at a price tag of Rs. Rs. 1,19,000, Rs. 1,09,000 and Rs. 1,39,000 respectively.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Hide Harada Managing Office In Charge of Business Mobile Business, Director of IT Products Business Division (ITPBD), AVC Networks Company, Panasonic Corporation Said:
“With mobility increasingly becoming a crucial factor in determining business success today, the launch of these products is a strategic step towards enhancing our focus on the mobility segment. We are among the few device manufacturers to offer complete customisation for our rugged-devices, with everything in-house With the new devices complementing our existing business, we will be able to significantly improve our presence in the segment, driven by factors such as improving mobility infrastructure and ecosystem, combined with business and workforce demand.”
Speaking on the launch, Mr. Toru Hasegawa, Divisional Managing Director, solutions Division, Panasonic India, said:

The new products build on the legacy of nearly two decades of rugged devices from Panasonic to accomplish the mission of professionals in the most demanding work environments. With this launch, we are looking at increasing our presence in the Rugged IT devices segment from an existing 60% to almost 65%.”

With the broadcast range of configuration options available in their class, industry-leading reliability and enterprise-grade feature sets, the Toughpad FZ-E1 and Toughpad FZ-X1 are ideal tools for a host of usage scenarios in the industry.”
In event, Panasonic all focused that, the varied range of Toughpad, Pansonic India is able to create it own niche in the world of rugged-devices technology targeting different business across verticals. In addition to this, the tablets are also built for easy integration into existing IT infrastructures.
On the specifications front, the Panasoanic Toughpad FZ-E1 and FZ-X1 features 6200mAh battery and offers 14 hours of battery backup on continuous use. The Toughpad FZ-E1 runs on Windows 8.1 OS while the Toughpad FZ-X1 runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Both devices are resistant to drop and has IP65/IP68 dust and water proof certification.
While the Panasonic Toughpad CF-54 is 50% thinner and 25% lighter when compared with previous model CF-53. It is powered by 5th generation of Intel Core i5-5300U vPro processor (3MB cache, 2.3GHz up to 2.9 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology). It offers 11 hours of battery backup and comes with a hot swappable battery option.
