MixRadio brings its services to India with Samsung’s Android & Tizen devices. If you do not know, MiXRadio is one of the popular personalized music streaming app and at present it is available free of costs but in future it will get a subscription option. Earlier, MixRadio is exclusive to Windows platform but in May 2015 it is launched for Android & iOS platforms.
MixRadio has done an exclusive partnership with Samsung and the app comes pre-loaded in Samsung devices across India. There is no word on the Android operating system but the app comes pre-loaded on the recently launched Samsung Z3.
The existing Samsung device users (Android & Tizen) will be able to download the app from respective app stores and the app will work only with Android 4.1 operating system whereas for Tizen it works on Tizen 2.4 devices or above.
The MixRadio is created by Nokia in 2007 and then it was owned by Microsoft and later on it was sold to Japan’s LINE messenger services in 2014. The good thing about MixRadio is that, it offers thousands of curated mixes based on user preferences from its music catalogue of over 30 million tracks.
According to a press note, Company says that it has been analysing data on music listening in India for over 10 years, and its catalogue spans 13 genres of Indian music including Bollywood, Telugu, Tamil, Punjabi, Bengali, Oriya and Marathi.
