Micromax Launches Canvas Spark 2 Plus With Android 6.0 For Rs. 3,999

Micromax Informations Ltd. has announced the company’s latest smartphone in the Spark series – Micromax Canvas Spark 2 Plus at a price tag of Rs.3,999. It comes in Metallic Grey, Copper Gold and Champagne Gold and it is available exclusively on Snapdeal from April 22, 2016. This is the first smartphone from Micromax, that runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 and it is specifically targeted for first time users. It comes with Indus which supports 10 regional language solution to ease consumers into the world of smartphone. In a press note, Micromax said that, they have sold over 1.5 million units till date.

Commenting on the new launches, Mr. Shubhajit Sen, Chief Marketing Officer, Micromax Informatics, said:

“A large number of consumers are still using feature phones or a second hand phones, which provide immense scope and potential for them to upgrade to affordable smartphones. With the launch of the Canvas Spark 2 Plus, we are offering first time users, with a smooth transition at a wallet-friendly price. Our objective is to convert feature phone users into smartphone users, and synthesize technology and affordability in for this device.”

He further added:

“Through our partnership with Snapdeal for exclusive Spark series, we have very successfully expanded the overall entry smartphone market and created a favorable impact in the ecommerce channel capturing over 11% of the exclusive online market last year. Our new Canvas Spark 2 Plus will yet again showcase our commitment to empowering consumers and at the same time introducing more people to the best of the connected world.”

On the specifications front, it features 5-inch FWVGA display and powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor which is paired with 1GB of RAM. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and it has 8GB in-built memory which can be expanded further by using microSD card.

On the imaging front, it features 5-meapixel rear-camera with LED flash and 2MP front-facing camera for selfie & video-calling.

It has 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS.

It packs 2,000mAh battery which enables users to enjoy long lasting performance without any battery woes.
