Ahead of official launch, LG has officially announced the QuickCircle Case for its upcoming flagship smartphone, the LG G3. It is a folder-style case which not only protects the smartphone but it also lets users to check the time, send text messages, take photos, listen music and get updates on your health from the circular window, without opening the phone. It is the next iteration of the case, that was first revealed in the QuickWindow case for the LG G2.
Commenting on the launch, Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company said,
“The smartphone ecosystem is constantly evolving – no longer are cases just for protection from the elements and bumps and drops. They’re the perfect accessory to build in extra features that add more value to a mobile device. With QuickCircle Case, we’ve exceeded the baseline by making it customizable to better fit users’ needs,”
The case also protects the side edges of the LG G3 and it offers a better grip. It comes with “Smart Lighting”, that emits a soft, white, circular flow inside the window whenever the case is opened/closed or call/text message is received, says LG. In addition to this, it also supports wireless charging.
LG plans to release an SDK in June so that developers can easily create their own QuickCircle functions and the case is available in five colour – Silk White, Metallic Black, Shine Gold, Indian Pink and Aqua Mint. There is no word on the pricing and availability.
