Few days back, LinkedIn announced in a blog post that now users have the option to enable two-step verification via SMS text message to protect their accounts. Two-Step verification adds optional security feature members can use to protect their accounts. In this post I’m sharing a step-by-step guide to enable two-step verification for your LinkedIn account.
Step-By-Step Guide To Setup Two-Step Verification For Your LinkedIn Account
Step1: Sign-in into your LinkedIn account
Step2: As soon as you sign-in, look for “Account & Settings” (marked as 1) and go to “Privacy & Settings” (marked as 2) as shown below and click on “Review”.
Step3: As soon as you click on “Privacy & Settings” (in step2) a new window open as shown below.
Step4: Now (in step3) look out for “Account” (marked as 1) and click on “Manage security settings” (marked as 2).
Step5: As soon you click on “Manage security settings” (in step4) a new window opens as shown below. Now to turn on two-step verification click on “Turn On” as shown below.
Step6: As soon as you click on “Turn On” a new window opens as shown below. Now you have to enter your “Phone number” and click on “Send Code” (as shown below):
Step7: As soon as you click on “Send Code” (in step 6) a new window opens as shown below. Now enter the six digit code and click on “Verify” button as shown below.
Step8: As soon as you click on “Verify” button (in step7) a new window opens with a confirmation message (highlighted in green). To finish the two-step verification process click on “Done” button as shown below.
Step9: Congratulations, you have successfully enabled two-step verification for LinkedIn account within couple of clicks.
