Google Play Editions of the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphones now start receiving Android 4.3 OTA update. Google has released Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OTA update for the Google Play Edition phones. Its takes a week to get the update after the official announcement of the latest version of Android OS v4.3 Jelly Bean. Owners of both devices are receiving over-the-air updates to the new OS.
The update is around 150 MB for the SGS4 and 180 MB for the HTC One, and comes as build JWR66V. The update comes immediately after both HTC and Samsung released their Android 4.3 kernel sources online.
The update brings a few GPE-specific changes. Most home screen icons appear larger, infrared now works on the HTC One, and Bluetooth-based internet tethering is now an option for the Galaxy S 4.
