Google has released Gmail 4.5 for android -- the all new Gmail app for Android has just hit the Google Play store and is available for download. The application is rolling out slowly to Android users worldwide that may take a few weeks to complete.
The all new Gmail app version 4.5 is beautiful with some UI changes, brand new inbox, multiple tabs and slide-out navigation. Some of the features of the Gmail app for Android v4.5 are here:
- Swipe down to refresh, refresh has been included in the UI now.
- Gmail now shows contact images for your mails. If a mail has multiple contacts, it shows them in a grid similar to the Hangouts app. If there is no contact image, it just shows the first letter of the sender in a colored background.
- Gmail 4.5 includes the four inbox options — Primary, Social, Promotions and Updates — which makes it easy to keep track of your mail.
- You cab empty the trash and spam folders with one tap.
Gmail 4.5 is rolling out slowly to the users, update is starting to appear in the Play Store. You can wait for the update in your Play store.
