Gionee has announced the expansion of its offline retail channel by collaborating with India’s leading Modern Retail partners PAN India. To reach out wider audience and offer better customer experience, Gionee has partnered with leading player including Spice, The Mobile Store, Mobiliti World, Jumbo Electronics, Croma Retail & Planet M. This partnership will increase the presence of Gionee in offline market and now Gionee smartphones will be available across 1000+ stores. Now the Gionee aims to sell 35000+ additional devices every month and scale it up at a constant price in the coming future.
Commenting on the association Mr. Arvind Vohra, Country CEO and MD, Gionee India said,
“Indian smartphone market is growing at a rapid pace and this association is our effort to increase our presence and making our handsets readily accessible to our customers anywhere and everywhere. We are glad to partner with the biggest names of the retail industry to officially sell our devices. Our consumers can now walk into any of these retail outlets and experience a Gionee smartphone. Through this move we look at increasing our sale by over 10% percent in the coming year”.
As of now, Gionee sells its devices through exclusive brand stores, shop-in-shops and the company’s e-store. With the current retail model, Gionee have been driving impressive sales and the tie-up with the modern retail outlets will scale up the availability of Gionee handsets and will on on to compliment the overall sales of the brand. Gionee has been rapidly expanding its footprint in India by opening brand stores and aims to open 250 brand stores in next one year. The company also has 800 service centers up and running and aims to have 1000 by end 2015, as said in a press release.
