FreeCharge has launched the “Chat and Pay”, a first-of-its-kind technology in digital payments ecosystem. At the launch event, it is said that, it’s an engaging & secure way of enabling social payments. The “Chat and Pay” service will make digital payments more frictionless and it will expand FreeCharge’s digital payment ecosystem to new users like small shopkeepers, Taxi services & merchants from unorganised sector without any investment. The app will be available on Google Play Store and iOS App store and for Windows will be available in next few weeks.
Announcing the new service, Govind Rajan, Chief Operating Officer, FreeCharge said:

The interface is so easy that it can connect merchants & consumers within no time and they can chat, shop & pay (P2M) payment. Within 5 seconds, FreeCharge customers can chat & pay without worrying about security. Above all, it also enables direct buyer – seller Chat interface for merchants, small or large to accept digital payments in less that 1 minute after registering on the FreeCharge App. With necessary KYC verification, merchants able to upgrade their payment limits to Rs. 10,0000
Merchants can now accept payments by registering their bank account number, geolocation and chose a custom identifier, a #paytag to allow customers to identify their service area through their FreeCharge App.
