WeChat has launched the creative sticker design challenge for all Indian students, in which students studying design have to create quirky and fun animated stickers for WeChat users. The winning sticker entry will be featured in the sticker gallery of WeChat and also get an exciting prize money of worth Rs. 5 Lakhs.
WeChat animated stickers are one of the most popular features and till date WeChat has launched over 40 sets of local animated stickers in India, which showcases several moods, one-liners and Bollywood style. Some of the popular stickers are – Angry Aunty, Mona Darling, Jabbar, Nautanki Baba and local lingo stickers which includes Bol Daal & many more.
WeChat announced this challenge in various colleges of India as well as online and unique sticker challenge invites students from 1800 colleges across India to showcase their artistic & creative talents. The competition would shortlist the best animated stickers based on theme, mood, colour, personality, message and connect with indian audiences. Apart from top three winners, other 10 shortlisted sticker entries in the final round will be rewarded Rs. 10,000 each. In addition to this, they will also be empanelled in the future design work of WeChat, the only messaging app to start such student centric initiative in India.
The entries for the initial round of WeChat Sticker Challenge have opened from 2nd June and will close by 15th July 2015. The final voting rights will be with WeChat users, the WeChat users will announced the winner of WeChat Sticker Challenge.
