Google has decided to show some kind of love to it’s Chromecast owners, and adds a different Chromecast apps section in Google Play. The apps available in this section are some of the most popular apps in their category and most widely used across web. The number of apps in this section is not big right now, but very soon few more entries will be available in Chromecast section. You’ll find only YouTube, Google Play Music, Google Play Movies, HBO Go, Hulu Plus, Netflix and Pandora.
Google Chromecast is the easiest way to enjoy online video and music on your TV, Chromecast brings online content to your TV. The Chromecast is a small dongle that will connect to your HDTV via HDMI port, and will connect to your home Wi-Fi network to pick up that content from its source online. Google’s promotion of Chromecast continues, in a new promotion this holiday season Google says:
“For a limited time we’re giving you an HD movie rental from Google Play with every purchase of a Chromecast device. It’s the perfect treat to add to that special someone’s stocking. At just $35 each, why not pick one up for both of you?” suggests Google Play’s site. The promotion is actually “valid for any movie rental or other content on Google Play valued at $6 or less”.
So make Chromecast a part of your home and bring online entertainment to your home television.
To connect more users Google has decided to make it easy for Chromecast users to get apps directly from Play Store, so the addition of the Chromecast button in the Google Play store app comes into picture.
